I wish I could help more but what I can say is: When I bought my FZ6 it already had bar risers on it. The seating position is very upright. I haven't tried FZ1 bars so I can't compare and contrast, but the bar risers work great for me. I should add, I am 20 years old and the most I've ridden...

I think as long as you don't make a habit out of riding like that and only do it when it's "Safe" you should be fine. Now the definition of safe will obviously differ depending on the rider. However, the first time I "tried to see what the bike could do" I ended up with a $549 ticket, lol. :D...
