I'm definately thinking of doing the Enhanced Rider Scheme thing. I believe I'm safe but I'd like to be able to take corners faster whilst keeping the safety, improve positioning, etc.
I don't think I'm a naturally good biker; so think I would benefit enormously from this.
Sometimes I...
My bike's restricted which means there's a lot less power going through the back wheels. The lack of the real fast acceleration should mean I get more miles. I've done 3,500 miles so far and the tyre still looks mint.
I usually go around 6,500 revs on the open road (motorway). I actually don't use all the powerband properly, except occasionally. i think this is because my bike is restricted. I seem to get about 140 + reserve miles out of a tank, on average.
I'd never really watched MotoGP before - but I watched it the other day and was mesmorised. I kept shaking my head, wondering how those guys do what they do? How Rossi kept the bike up after being on the gravel I'll never know.
I'm a relative newbie on the bike so haven't tried more than...
That's strange - because I'm 5ft 5 and can easily touch the floor on both sides. On the left leg, I can easily get the whole ball of my foot on the ground and probably with a little tilt, the whole sole down.
I tend to ride underneath the safest maximum speed for the road. I believe that there are many roads in the UK that are safe to drive faster than a speed limit. Moreover, as many have said here, I simply cannot do 70mph on a motorway when there are idiots in cars up your backside trying to...
Hey, don't steal my thread! :-)
I'm wondering whether to do this Direct Access thing then. It doesn't really matter if I fail, because I still have the big bike (although i shouldn't fail, I passed it before!)
Hi All,
I passed my test about 4 months ago. I love my FZ6. However, it's restricted to 33Bhp. My question is, what differences are there in the bike between an unrestricted and a restricted one? Here's what I know:
I can just about top out 100mph (I've seen the three figures on the...
What annoys me is that the harley-type bikes guys actually seem to purposefully not wave. Through the ether, I get the impression they look down on our type of bikes.
Okay, here's a question. I have my FZ6 with a 33bhp restrictor kit on it. When I'm zipping along a relatively free motorway or dual carriageway, I tend to do around 85mph. My question is, what sort of rpm should I be aiming at? I can stick it in 6th gear and I seem to be doing about 6,000...
