Arides,
I'd love to know what you ended up doing. I'm 5'6", and backing up is a pain. The link from Soupy's for $79 seems like a nice option.
Has anybody else got feedback on the Soupy's lowering link?
Hey, if this is still available, I'm interested. I'm in MA, but will be working in NJ the week of 11/4. PM me if you still have the rack/luggage.
Thanks,
As mentioned above, the Killernoodle clutch mod is awesome! I can't recommend it enough. I also got the G2 Throttle tamer throttle tube, which was a huge improvement on the throttle response. I'm a new rider, so those 2 mods were really big for me. I'm a long time cyclist, so right hand throttle...
Check this out!! This new bike looks like the next step in the FZ series.

Tell me what you think.
Hey all,
I've seen a blue FZ-6 in the Beverly, MA area a few times, if it is a member, it would be nice to meet a fellow owner. Every time I've seen him(?) I was on my road bike and/or going the opposite direction.
Mrfoll9,
I have the opposite problem, I'm short, and I sent my seat to Spencer in FLA. He does a great job, fast turn around and low price. You should be able to find a link to his site somewhere here. You fill out a form, and are able to add any info you want. The seat comes back looking...
K9,
I had the G2 Throttle tamer installed and that made a big difference for me. I'm a newb, and throttle control is still a learning experience. The G2 makes the open/closed throttle much less abrupt.
I also had the Killernoodle clutch lever done, and that was a huge improvment.
Enjoy the...
I bought the G2 tamer from the website last year, read the instructions carefully, and handed it to my local shop. It was 1.2 hours of labor from, I assume, an experienced tech. I'm guessing I would have doubled the time or more. No notes on whether they had to trim it.
As for how it works...
OK, Showing my age here. And my preference for raw, hard punk rock stuff. So, 2 songs: Mission of Burma, Fun World, and Iggy and the Stooges, Seek and Destroy. From the late 60's to the early 80's. Umm, reverse that. Maybe I'll post videos or MP3 files, maybe.

Hello,
As a short guy, 5'6", I am all about lowering the bike! I did the Spencer seat shaving mod, rode it once since then. I think the seat is more comfortable, and kinda narrower at the top. But not really much lower. So, I'll check out the Metisse link and Soupy's (?) My bike has just over...
Hey all,
My job for the past 14 years has been to maintain the defib's used by Boston EMS and others. I saw EMT's and Paramedics on TV that I see while working on their equipment. I work on broken machines, these guys work on broken humans. I could not do what they do.
Marathon Monday is a day...
Hey,
I received my KN modified parts earlier this week. I have not put them on, because I'm waiting for my shaved seat to come back from Spencer in FL. KN's paypal did not work for me, so I'll be sending a check to him. If you got a message that your paypal did not go through, send the guy a...
Yeah, I'm short 5'6" and i took the bike off the center stand in my garage. I was on the left side, and it flopped to the right immediately!! Broke the right side mirror. Lucky for me, another forum member was selling that part for cheap! Next time, I'll be on the bike from the center stand...
Hey,
I just reposted the instructions from pg. 15 from KN himself in the How-to section. I'm hoping it will be easier for noobs like me to find it when the time comes. Thanks as always to KN and David323 for helping out. I'm dreaming of a spring without stalling! :D
Here's a copy/paste from page 15:
If the clutch pull is 25-30% less stiff, the engagement zone is also 25-30% longer. I've been to the drag strip several times with the mod and the clutch is much easier to modulate to get exactly the amount of torque I want at any given time.
I guarantee...
