Reviving my thread: So the other day the low beam on the right went out so i figured it would be a good time to get new bulbs and do the adjustments.
Swapped the bulbs today, and after dark grabbed a 10mm socket and adjusted the right side lower just fine, so now the high beams are just...
That is exactly what spencers specializes in. I actually just emailed him yesterday and got a reply this morning, on a saturday, which said the following:
My email to him:
His Reply:
He sounds extremely professional and it seems like he has dealt with quite a few FZ6 Seats. This was...
So i put in a new flasher relay, and it fixed the issues!!
Thanks again moto, I figured I was going to be tracing wiring or some ridiculous other thing. Was a 10 minute, 10 dollar fix, and the relay even fit in the rubber holder that the old relay was in.
I took videos of before...
Honestly I couldn't tell you what ones they are. It came with the bike when I got it from the previous owner. I haven't really bothered with looking into it because I figure they are better than nothing.
Do a quick search on the site for "frame sliders" and i'm sure you could find some good...
Thanks for all the advice everyone. Would a video of the signals going help? It truly is a sight :)
Unfortunately I am out of town for the extended weekend, but could post one up Monday sometime.
All I want to do is get everything blinking on a normal rate, in unison, who knew?!
If that is in fact the case (does kind of sound like it from what I have read) how would I identify and remove these resistors? Are they spliced into the wiring? No idea what I'm looking for
Okay, so after owning the bike a while, I realized that the signals in this thing are quite FUBAR. The previous owner put in a bunch of aftermarket lights and It seems he did a real job with it :spank:
Here is the setup that I bought the bike with:
Front and rear signals replaced with low...
Just a quick update on what I did:
I picked up a stock seat from a fellow forum member and that has allowed me to sit back further which makes the shift pedal position just fine. I still have it lowered as far as it goes but it seems okay to shift now.
Now i'm hunting for FZ1 bars.
You know, after some experimentation, it might have to do with the yamaha comfort seat I have. The "natural" seating position on that seat is a bit far forward which puts my 36" inseam legs at a pretty sharp angle. If I drive my butt back It's fine, but due to the angle of the comfort seat I...
So I have the shift pedal adjusted as far down as it can go before it hits the inside of the rearset when shifting down. However, it still would be more comfortable if it was like an inch lower. I was inspecting the shift pedal and was thinking something that could go over the bottom of the...
Wow, that's a change, I was really in the air between a cruiser and a sportier bike. Being that it is my first bike, I didn't have much basis of comparison.
What things have you noticed the most being different?
