After I was looking at your pics, it looks like the 07+ fairings are lower on the sides than the 04-06. It looks like you could grind down the nubs on the clipons and go alot lower than I could.

I don't know if it is the same, but on cars they have a sensor in the hub that can get gummed up and sometimes will hang causing problems with the abs light to come on. I would see if there is a servicable speed sensor that you can get to and clear it off with a paper towel. Don't use compressed...
