Ahhhh hahahaha!
That's a good one, I had my bike one week and then I was told by a guy at work that I got ripped off because the bike already had one light burnt out...
My clutch lever was the same, I tightened the slack a bit with the adjustment screw on the back of the leaver. It did make the engagement of the clutch earlier when pulling on it.
Other than trying to remove dried on bug guts from my windshield with a damp paper towel (Left small scratches) my bike is in mint condition. But... Just reading and posting on this subject is a goocher. I'll have to be extra careful riding this week. It's like a goalie, if he's working on a...
Thanks for the advice, if I'm ever down there with the bike I'll be sure to find that road, even the roads through the mountain would be a thrill compaired to what I have.
60 miles or 60 miles per hour is what the hardcore riders at work go by when it comes to ear plugs. It is true, you can still hear pretty much everything around you, even buddy beside you driving in your blind spot. I found that it really reduces the wind noise, and now I can even hear the...
You riders may be right, I need to take a trip on the bike... Almost all of the km on the bike are to work and back, in rush hour traffic. The unfortunate part about where I live is that there are numerous highways that are all straight, no twisties until you hit the mountains 3 hours away...
This is my first year with a street bike, previous I have had dirt bikes. I'm confident with how I ride, but am always improving and learning and always being caucious of everyone. But for some reason I am not thrilled or excited as I feel I should be to get on the bike. For instance this...
Could be some bad fuel!
Did you recently put new fuel in the bike, there may have been excess water in the fuel from the last time you filled up, or just bad fuel. I first used regular gasoline in my bike, and found that it ran rough and made some ticking noises, but with premium fuel it runs...
Do giant bugs count? The other day I had pull over on the highway to clear my visor because I could barely see, it could have been a small bird, but it liquified instantly, I have the faster red FZ6 but it's not fast enough to liquify a bird... Is it? Regardless... SPLAT!
FYI! I have a similar device, just make sure that the clamps holding the handle bar to the suspension are tight. I had to trailer my new bike from the dealer, and when I got home my handle bars were pulled right down to the tank and straps were loose. Origionally I thought the handle bars...
Do any of you know of a device that you can put on your helmet that closes the gap between your chin and your neck? I have noticed at highway speeds if I hold my hand up in that area the wind noise is greatly reduced...
Alpinestar SP3
Not very good so far!!! Stitching is on the inside of the fingers and is uncomfortable, cold on cool days, and hot on warm days. Now I know why they were in the bargan bin... They are band new and may need time to wear in, but so far I don't like them.
Suomy Vandal
My previous helmet was a HJC and the Suomy fits my head better. I tried on a Arai and it didn't fit as nice (I appologize for the lack of model names, but the Aria was a little more than the $499.99 Suomy) I have ridden about 1000km with the Suomy and I have only one small...
Good question, I have about the same experience on the bike as you, and I am shifting the same way as you also. My interpretation of the manual is that we are doing it correctly, but I'm eager to see what the more experienced riders do...
Hey! Picked up a new 06 FZ6 a month ago, and have about 1000km on it. Most of my riding is to and from work, about 60km per day. So far it's been great, with exception to the kid who cut me off tonight as he pulled out of parking lot... I suppose if he can't put a ball cap on straight, he can't...
