Just replaced my 2006 FZ6 I lost in Dec. 2013 with another 2006 FZ6 last month (Nov 2018) for $2000. Bike had 14,000 miles on it, almost completely stock with the exception of the LED turn signals & brake light.
I just did, but I had other ligaments replaced as well. The ACL wasn't a real big deal from what the doctor said, but the others were. Hate to hear about the accident, I know it sucks. Glad it's not any worse then it is, and hope you get it fixed and heal up fast!
BTW, they can either take a...
Getting better every day. Pretty much off the oxycodone for pain now, but still can't use ibuprofen for another 2 weeks (doc said it may inhibit bone growth in the first 4 weeks after surgery so we're playing it safe). They replaced my ACL, popliteus tendon, and one other one but I can't...
someone asked how everything came through with State Farm on the motorcycle being a total loss so I thought I'd let you know . I talked to them about an hour ago, and for the motorcycle and the accessories (wind screen, lower fairing, speedometer calibratot, and seat) I'm going to get about...
Looks good! I have often wondered how the bike would look with the lowers painted. I had them on my 06, but they were black.
In some of the pictures in the first post, isn't that bike an 07-09 model? The windscreen doesn't look like it comes all the way down between the headlights, and the...
It depends on weather you want an 06. Personlly, if I get another FZ6 it will be an 06. I like the black engine/black frame, and the fairing on the 06 is different from the 04-05. I also prefer the 04-06 to the 07-09.
I have been looking on and off around here for an 06, but they're kinda...
Yep, frame is cracked. Bike is pretty messed up, but that is expected I guess.
So far State Farm has been very easy to deal with, at least that has been my experience in the past. They sent me the pics, I still haven't seen the bike. As of now, I'm waiting to hear what they are going to...
Here's my last pic of mileage. I had another fillup after this and it was empty when I had the accident on Dec. 20. It should be about 400 miles higher then pictured, but I don't have a pic of the ODO so...
I was driving west down Lawrenceville Highway, which is a four lane with a turning lane right in the middle. there were two cars waiting at a red light to turn left on a road called fellowship. when I went under the light I was probably running about 40 miles an hour. there was a Lexus SUV that...
thanks for all the get wells, I really appreciate that! hopefully if my wife and son let me get another bike, sometime soon FJR 1300 may be in my future. Seem hard to find a low mileage 2006 FZ6 anymore :(

I was on my way to work Friday morning, about a mile from the shop, when a woman turned left from behind two cars in front of me. I tried to swerve to the right try to get around her, but she never slowed down and I ended up hitting her in the right front.
I've been in the hospital since...
I saw this on my way home today. It has a small fairing around a single headlight. Looks like late 80's to mid 90's style, but I may be wrong
Any ideas? The bike looks like it's in real good condition.

My dad lives in Clinton (Oak Ridge area), about 8-10 miles east of Knoxville. He loves it there, and from what I have seen Knoxville is also pretty nice.
Congratulations! Wow, 45 & 48 and starting over - very brave!! I'd love to have another, just don't see it happening for us, but I'm very happy for y'all!! She's beautiful!
