Oh man. I've been really missing my fairings, and was looking around for a set. This is a screaming deal. What are the odds of fitting a gen 1 fairing on a gen 2 (my bike's an '09)? I know the instrument cluster is different, but it looks like the fairing stay is pretty much the same.

Using plus or premium is a waste of money. The manual straight up says to use regular gas. I'm going to go with what the manufacturer says.

There are LED conversion kits out there now. They are direct plug and play without a need to wire into the battery. The LED kits I've seen are bright and have a wider area of coverage, but the HIDs have a farther projection distance.

Just put some weight on the pillion seat until the rear wheel drops, then take off the front wheel. Lower the forks onto a milk crate or something. Take off the rear wheel. Job's done.

That is awesome and makes me want to try it at some point. Had the exhaust and mid-pipe off my bike the other week and the sound was amazing. I'll probably try and keep the standard exhaust shrowd or even give go for a sidemount, though.

So you used standard JB Weld to connect everything? I've used it on a crank case before without issue and was considering using it for muffler/exhaust work. Where did you buy your parts from?
