Wow, a 57% increase? That's outrageous. I'm paying $210 a year with Rider Insurance for my FZ6. I switched to them after Progressive raised my rates. So far, so good! Of course, each person has different rates based on age, riding experience, gender, # of claims, and driving record.
Sounds...
I'm 5'6" and I can flatfoot the FZ6 (rear shock is always set for passengers). Some friends have borrowed my Fizzer:
6"5", 250#- he looked a bit large on the bike, but was comfortable at a stop and didn't feel cramped for riding position;
6'2", 275#- was comfortable, wanted a bit more...
I was just discussing this with another FZ6 owner...
He had the Yamaha Gel seat for a few months, but was still not comfortable. He bought the Corbin Gel seat, and is totally satisfied. He recommends saving up for the Corbin...
Until I have the money, I've done a bit of work on the stock...
I ride with a passenger quite frequently, and there's never been a complaint about the bags being in the way. Of course it depends on the bags you have...
I rode 500 miles two weekends ago- mostly 55mph curvy roads, with one 40 mile section of insane twisties that I rode very much slower than that. For that run, I averaged about 55 mpg.
This past weekend we went on a 350 mile trip, touring covered bridges in OH, with a passenger. A steady 75mph...
That is indeed a Piaggio x9EVO. Mine, actually. He only got to ride it on the track that day because I had to have the kids somewhere for the morning, and didn't get in till after noon- and we weren't about to pay a second rider's fee.
I was just in the Erie area yesterday. Wow, that is flat. And the roads absolutely suck. I spent an hour tooling around trying to find a road- only to discover, once I found actual people that were willing to talk to me- that the signs had been missing for at least a few years, and the road I...
I voted for the younger driver, but I think "both" should have been an option. Which is scarier- my 70 yr old father in law that tried to drive onto the freeway using the OFF ramp, the started dozing off while driving, with me and my 2 kids in the car? Or my 21 yr old friend that condemns my...
I was going to say, you're obviously farther east than me. Your roads are relatively strait and level. The Pittsburgh area is mostly paved, sort of, if you count tar-and-chip, and don't mind the potholes, but most roads are between 2 and 6% grade.
I started on a Yamaha Vino 50, then was upgraded by Skrapiron over the next few years to a Yamaha Vino 125, a Piaggio Fly 150, and a Piaggio X9 500. I traded the x9 for the FZ6 I ride now, and I really don't miss the scooters except in stop-n-go Pittsburgh traffic. I like being able to use...
Liar!!! I told you BEFORE we pulled out of the driveway that I needed fuel. And I don't see any mention of the tree limbs and tires that were also in the road.
