    Front brake locked

    Have an 09 FZ6 with 7400 miles. After having a prospective buyer ride last week, pushed it into my driveway where it sat for 1 week. Another buyer was looking at it, was about to ride when we realized the front brakes were locked. Never had that happen before. Any ideas what caused this & a fix...

    Bang Bang Pow Pop Pop mmmmmmmmm

    I bought a used 2009 FZ6 2 years ago. The previous owner had installed a PC5, KN air filter and 2 Brothers exhaust. When I leave work every afternoon, the highlight of my day is the sound of my exhaust when I roll up to the stop sign leaving work. That glorious popping and snapping gives me...

    Help finding LED turn signal

    I installed a motodynamics intergrated rear light and customled flushmount front signals. You can get the plug-in that corrects the blink rate from customled for a good price. Easy install and look great.

    I installed one of these about a month ago. Very easy install & really cleans up the rear of the bike.

    ~~~$$$The Recent Purchase Thread$$$~~~
    Where to begin. In the last few months I've gone a little nuts on my baby. New Puig winscreen, belly pan, Pilot Road 3's, CustomLED flush mount turn signals, intergrated rear light, bd43's dual headlight mod, gear indicator & swingarm graphics from our friend FAZR6. Love the way changing out the...
    Who likes short shorts? (riding equipment poll)
    I ride to work most days (about 6.5 miles, 8-10 minutes), & have to wear slacks & polos to work. I always wear my armored jacket , gloves & helmet, but don't have riding pants. I have a pair of riding shoes but spending 8-10 hours on a concrete floor has stopped me from wearing them every day. I...
    Michelin Pilot Road 3 are here!!!!!!
    Had my new PR3's installed last week. Went for a nice ride Sunday. It was a pleasure feeling comfortable leaning much further into the twistys. Didn't have much confidence in the old tires. Talked to a tire rep while getting them installed, he raved about them. And I didn't even buy them from...
    Do you ride in 15-20mph wind?
    I agree with the above replies. I live on the Alabama gulf coast & it's very breezy this time of year. I only weigh 145 lbs. so I find myself getting pushed around pretty good in cross winds. You just have to be aware of the conditions.
    whats the average age of a FZ6 rider
    53 here. The best was when my 30 y.o. daughter took me to pick up the bike. "Dad...that's not what I thought you'd be riding",lol.
    Help! Stuck oil drain bolt
    Thanks for all the tips, I let it soak in WD40 overnight, gave it a few taps, used a cheater bar & finally broke it loose. The filter was tightned the same way. Used a pair of channel locks to breake it loose. I was serious about the dealer cost for an oil change. $99.95 at the local dealer...
    Help! Stuck oil drain bolt
    I suspect it's a dealer thing myself. I had all the right tools, made sure of that before I started. An a**hole with an impact wrench can make your life miserable. $100 for an oil change is pretty good incentive to make it hard on a diy'er. Just my frustrated $.02 worth.
    Help! Stuck oil drain bolt
    Thanks for all the tips. I was using a new 17mm socket. Local dealer wanted $99.95 for an oil change so doing it myself seemed like a good idea. I used to work construction so I've had plenty of tool experience. I soaked it with WD-40 & left it for the night. It reminds of a time years ago when...
    Help! Stuck oil drain bolt
    Apparently the previous owner of my 09 FZ6 used Metropolis Yamaha to change the oil, while Superman was working. I have almost rounded off the oil drain bolt and it has not loosened at all. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    did I get a good deal?
    Makes me feel pretty good about my deal. I bought a 2009 with 3,036 miles, in great condition. Has a power commander and after market exhaust. Got it out the door with a new helmet for $5,154. Best money I ever spent.
    *official fz6 forum shirts
    Just joined the forum & ordered a shirt. Just bought a used 2009 FZ6 today. Only rode it home but plan on hitting the backroads tomorrow. The short ride home convinced me I made the right choice.
