Anyone know what the charging system is rated for on an 09? Trying to figure out if I have enough "headroom" for a pair of 55 watt pencil beams. Yes, I live in the country, and I leave early.

Problem solved! The O-ring was the culprit! lubricated o-ring and mating surfaces with very light coating of Vaseline to ease assembly. Fired right up! Now on to standard pre season checks!

May have answer today, found posts from 3 separate R-1 owners with similar symptoms, all caused by o-ring in between fuel pump halves being improperly positioned causing loss of pump pressure. Will investigate today and post results.

Gas is fresh, just put it in a dry tank.

Thanks for the reply. My Battery charger has a load test position, which I used and measured Volts with a known good Digital multi meter. I am convincved the Battery is good, connections are clean also. The fuel line is a very short piece, which I can see appears to be O.K. It "acts" like a fuel...
