Yep, the F6R has 20% more torque from 6-8k rpm.. In fact, most magazines write about how the engine is more powerful in the usable street range. Up, above 10k rpm the FZ6 is much more powerful.

Very good price for a very underrated bike. The Rotax v twin is supposed to be bullet proof and the ergos of this one are better than most repli-racers.

Congrats! I test rode the Tiger at Americade - nice 24 mile ride in the twisties with a broken in Tiger 800. it was great! Much more torque everywhere than the FZ6 and quite flickable due to the narrow tires. I really like the triple engine. Nice choice! Enjoy!

I think such big engines are overkill with 2 up since you are much more likely to be riding more sedately. To some degree, if I twist the throttle, I would rather have a slower response when I am with a passenger otherwise I will loose the passenger. Honestly, even the FZ6 has plenty of power...

Both good. VFR better in many ways (suspension, drivetrain smoothness, stability, quality), but FZ6 is a great bike as well. I have the VFR and still miss my FZ6. The FZ6 was better for the city - somewhat lighter and more comfortable for the city.

I had an FZ6 for 2.5 years and 11,000 miles (2008) and now have a 2007 VFR. Both have Givi trunks which my wife is accustomed to. The FZ6 seat and passenger pegs (2007+) are very comfortable for passengers. The VFR is also very comfortable. My wife liked the FZ6 seat better. Both are great for...

Congrats! nice bike. i went the same way. I was trying to decide between the Sprint and the VFR and I got a deal on the VFR I could not refuse. Both are similar bikes in many qays except the sprint has the superior engine. Enjoy your new bike!
