    Help! Throttle Sticking.

Thanks! I'll have to examine it when I pull it off. Thank god it's winter! It's amazing the little things that need maintenance on motorcycle that I probably wouldn't give a second thought to if it was a car.

    Help! Throttle Sticking.

Alright, I was able to get it to stop sticking. I rerouted the cables and that seemed to help. However, the throttle still snaps back a bit slower than my brand new Grom. I'm an idiot and forgot to lube the cables while I was swapping them over so.... now I'm going to try and lube them up...

    Help! Throttle Sticking.

I understand all of that, but what causes it to stick only when I take the slack out of the throttle?

    Reporting in

I've been meaning to do that R6S fork swap for years lol! I have the spacer kit and one fork leg.... I've been slacking on getting the second fork leg. Good luck!

    This bike is fast!

Whenever, and I mean WHENEVER, you buy a used motorcycle you should ALWAYS assume no maintenance has been done. Change the coolant, oil, both filters, spark plugs, etc. Read the service manual and do everything that would have been required at 8,000 miles. The only exception to this is if the...

    This bike is fast!

You guys do realize the service manual for the FZ6 says to perform the service every 4,000 miles right? There's different things your supposed to do at every service, it's best to read it and follow it.

    Help! Throttle Sticking.

Hey guys, I'm having a bit of a throttle sticking issue. Basically if I put a lot of slack into the throttle cable it doesn't stick at all, but when I adjust the slack out of the cable it sticks. What's the best way to have a throttle without slack, but also that doesn't stick? Thanks!

    This bike is fast!

This is against my friends ZX6R, it's a 2012, so not the 636. He's left and I'm right. If you look at the 60' and 330' times I actually out launched him, but by time we get through the 1/4 look at the MPH difference!! He absolutely killed me to the tune of 12.1 MPH!

    This bike is fast!

Lol, yeah 4th, 5th, and 6th are even worse. I don't spend enough time near redline in those gears to care though.

    This bike is fast!

It's interesting the different perspectives everyone has. I've often found myself wide open at 12,000 rpm in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear thinking about how slow my bike is!

    Gsxs1000 vs s1000r

It's starting to seem like the Suzuki might be the way I'm gonna go. :D

    Gsxs1000 vs s1000r

Found another review, but this time comparing the four Japanese manufactures. It's in the December 2015 issue of Motorcyclist Magazine.

    Decided on an Experiment

I don't know... before the FZ6 I had this.... It was pretty much the least reliable piece of equipment I have ever owned. I bought it new and from day one it was a temperamental thing. The bike would start and run just fine, but probably 1 out of 5 times I would park it it wouldn't start...

    Decided on an Experiment

I should mention..... I'm buying a new bike in the Spring. My FZ6 is going to be reserved mainly for bad weather or track days next season. You both are correct though, the turning radius with the clip - ons is abysmal. I've thought about trading the FZ6 for a supersport, but I just can't...

    Decided on an Experiment

Worked on mocking up the clip ons a bit more yesterday. I think I've made a list of issues that I will need to solve. Relocate Turn Signals Reduce Length of Brake and Clutch lines Master Cylinder/Reservoir Doesn't Clear Clip On Bracket Adjust Steering Stops The turn signals simply...

    Gsxs1000 vs s1000r

Yup! I'm thinking a ecu flash and full exhaust would work most of the kinks up and bring the power up close to Tuono levels. I think the suspension sounds adequate if your not doing track days so I'd leave that be.

    Gsxs1000 vs s1000r

Not quite against the S1000R, but here's a review comparing the new Suzuki to the Tuono and Super Duke R. 2015 Streetfighter Shootout VIII: Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR | KTM 1290 Super Duke R | Suzuki GSX-S1000 - Motorcycle USA As to be expected the Suzuki comes in last place, but I have to say...

MotoGP Sepang 2015 - Rossi vs Marquez

Pedrosa almost always does really well the last few races of the season. Dani is really fast, but he's so small that on cold tracks he can't get heat into the tires, but on warmer tracks he doesn't destroy the tires. So when it's hot out like it was last weekend he does really well.
