FB400, I ride on I-75 so I typically average about 80-85 mph just keeping up with traffic!

Can someone please talk me out of the thoughts I have about trading in for a FZ1. I feel like I am beating up on the FZ6 commuting over 100 miles a day on the highway. Maybe I need to go up a tooth on the front sprocket for all of the highway use. I love the FZ6 but does it like the contstant...

Your best bet is probably stay where you are now. The traffic is becoming a real burden down here with all of the "northerners" coming down. I commute on I-75 everyday and it's becoming worse each year. You'll appreciate "dirty-Jersey" the longer you stay there! :justkidding:

I took the calipers off and removed the axle. Pulled the wheel off and flipped it around. Put it all back together and it was quite amazing how well everything bolted back on!! Spun the wheel and tested the brake. All seems to be good. I wil take it out for a test this weekend. Thanks for the help!

Are there markings on the rim that will confirm correct direction?

UPDATE: Finally got the chance to work on the bike. Started the bike this time to check things out. Headlight(s) fired right up. Lesson learned!

I feel a bit "dumb" I must say. I was rigorously testing with the multimeter with just the ignition on and NOT the engine running. I will have to test the circuit all over again the right way this time!! Thanks for the input and I will keep you posted.

Have a slight problem. My headlight(s) decided to go out. I checked the obvious--the bulbs, fuse, and wiring harness. The fuse was blown when I checked it. I replaced it and turned the key to on. Still nothing. I pulled the connection off of the bulb and tested it with a multi tester, no juice...

Hmmm, couldnt find the "Wright" charger on the online Walmart store. Is something you need to pick up in store only?

Well I made it home but the battery is still dead. I turned off the bike and tried to start it again and it clicked. Looks like I need to charge it. Anyone have a battery charger they like that they would recommend? I need one in the garage anyway so I guess now is the time....

LOL! Im in south FL sweating like a pig from trying to pop start it! I had a friend come up and jump me. It started! LOL! I took off and got to the end of the parking lot (stop sign) and didnt give it enough gas. Its dead again. My wife is on the way this time to jump "me" and then follow me...

I tried to have people push but it still wouldnt start. Im trapped at work. So the batteries are different in a car?

Can I get to it with the tools included with the bike?

I left the key in the ignition all day and the battery is dead. Can I jump start the battery with a car or are they different amps? Any suggestions? I doubt it will pop start.

I smell it too but thought it must be the car in front of me. It would seem on the highway the smell would be behind you and you wouldnt be able to smell it coming from your bike.

Re: Top speed? 138 mph on I-75 Southbound had the highway to myself. Dropped down to 80 and felt like I was doing 30. Strange thing.....when you let off the throttle at that speed all at once you have to really hang on as the bike seems like it pushes you forward. I was in the crouched position.
