I had one of the pipes struck for while, until I got my son to give me hand. I had him hold the Y-piece whilst I twisted the can, and also gave a light knock with a rubber mallet. I did have some scorch marks along the weld, but I have now cleaned them up with a light rub of Autosol.:thumbup...

Stock Tool Kit. If riding on cold days, that'll be most days in the uk then:rolleyes:, I will put some woolly gloves under the seat, so when you stop off for a break and hands are cold pop the gloves on to warm hands back up. Of course this must be done out of sight of other bikers:D Cheers

I notice when reading the thread, that there are quite a few instances of lock ups. Are you allowed to lock up the tires on your test, when carrying out your emergency stop. As in the UK if you lock up your wheels it's a failure. But if I needed to stop in an emergency and the wheels locked up...
