I don't water down the bike. I use a wash bucket and a little car wash soap. Then gently wipe down with damp microfiber towel... a lot of rinsing of course.

Re: Another OIL question Rotella synthetic user here as well. It's a very underrated, unassuming oil. You can get it at Pep Boys or major auto parts chain.... Kragen, Autozone... etc.
