I've been using a product called Dri Wash n Guard for years on my cars and motorcycles. I don't use water at all when cleaning up the bike, the Driwash is a liquid that loosens the dirt/grime/debris off the paint and also acts as a polish.
That's interesting stuff... but man, it's pricey.
As for Armor All, although look good temporarily, it's slick and attracts dirt and grime. Instead, I use Aerospace 303 for non painted surfaces. This amazing product provides 100% UV protection and drys clean. Frequent applications will prolong the life of plastic and rubber. For cars, the top detailer uses it to shine the engine compartment at the same time, prevent the hoses from drying. I finish off car washes by covering the dash and all weather seals. My Acura Legend is 15+ yrs old and the parts are good as new.
