Would this tank drain method apply to the fz6 as well?

Trying to avoid removing the fuel pump to drain the tank in preparation for paint. Anyone done this on the fz6?

    Random FZ6 parts identification

Cool, thanks. I think I will hold onto these, could be useful if I ever go away from just an integrated tail light. And no front signals....:p

Why is my center stand suddenly so loose on the raised position?

Went for a big ride today and nearing home I heard a crazy banging noise on take off. Was scared I torched my motor as it sounded like rod knock. Upon returning home I found what seems to be an unusual amount of play in my center stand. I remember it being more stable than this... I believe it...

Got bike all back together after removing airbox/battery box etc. Went to start and loud fast clicking noise happens and fuel pump reprimes each time

Indeed, I wish I knew how old this one was. It's a Yuasa. No way it's original from 2006 right?

Got bike all back together after removing airbox/battery box etc. Went to start and loud fast clicking noise happens and fuel pump reprimes each time

I have a lithium battery from another bike with good enough specs but its too small, since the FZ6 uses that plate with the fuse thing its impossible to get it to work. I do see there are "OEM fit" lithium batteries that exaggerate the size of the housing it actually needs to be since lithium...

Agreed and I do have a Battery Tender brand switchable lead acid- lithium one, it was on there for all but about the first month of the winter before I remembered

Got bike all back together after removing airbox/battery box etc. Went to start and loud fast clicking noise happens and fuel pump reprimes each time

Thanks what a shame! Started up instantly last ride of the year 5 months ago. I charged it overnight and put the tester on it, it read 12.8 right away but was steadily dropping over the next 10 seconds and settled around 12.65. I will put it back together and test it again.

Got bike all back together after removing airbox/battery box etc. Went to start and loud fast clicking noise happens and fuel pump reprimes each time

Going to leave the battery charging overnight just in case and then test the voltage. It was plugged in a few days ago and I'm only seeing 12.2 volts on the multimeter. Think that is on the low side. I guess if it tests low again tomorrow I will be in the market for a new battery.....

Got bike all back together after removing airbox/battery box etc. Went to start and loud fast clicking noise happens and fuel pump reprimes each time

Took it back apart and checked all my connections on the thing connected to the battery box and connectors I took off. Everything looked fine. Have no idea what went wrong after reassembling it. Is the fuel pump priming each time any clue to anyone what could be going on? Battery is fully charged.

2008 Fz6 CO adjustment Leo Vince how to find the best values?

I am convinced I felt it lose some oomph when I did my exhaust. I've jetted a lot of carbed bikes before and am familiar with the signs of a motor running lean and think mine is very similar, though not extreme or anything. I have read about this a while and seen enough people that are happy...

2008 Fz6 CO adjustment Leo Vince how to find the best values?

No idea what's up. I must be an idiot. :) Tried multiple different ground points with a wire well attached to the yellow/red wire from the connector, hold the two buttons turn ignition on and never goes to diag.

2008 Fz6 CO adjustment Leo Vince how to find the best values?

Does the harness that the wire is located that you need to ground on the US model to access the CO adjustment need to be plugged into the other end for this to work? What is the best method to access the wire if so? It seems like there may be a little black plug in the empty hole on the other...

Naked converted FZ6, how could I go about getting low and high beam functionality?

I agree with you. After extensive analysis of the connector on the handlebar switch side, the lighter green wire is only one that isn't accounted for for a specific function. I have compared every other wire to the manual and they all seem to have a specific function. . The fact that this wire...
