    First Bike - Yamaha FZ6

When I read the add it says "anti lock brakes" in the bottom with the list of its features, this bike definitely doesn't have ABS unless it was imported from Europe. From what I can see from the pictures this confirms it doesnt, just in case you were using that fact to add to the value. Your...

    Hard Rock Cafe Prices

Those seem like reasonable prices based on what we have in Canada, $4 for a bottle of Heineken is the starting price, many places will be more. Standard tip here is 15% as well, if your in a group its an automatic 18%

poor throttle response and engine stalling

Could be your TPS, there were recalls for pre 2007 models which were demonstrating similar issues, searching the forum will bring up a lot of info for that. Also it would be worth looking into; Spark plugs, age and gap Fuel delivery, have you run any cleaners like Seafoam through yet...

    you upcoming cold snap

I saw -24 degrees Celsius this morning on my way into work, that was on the car temp gauge so likely a couple degrees colder, that is also without the wind-chill, feeling like -35 or so according to the radio.

    My new/first real project

Continuing with my build I chopped the frame and cut the old tires off the rims made sure to do it behind any reinforcing gussets so I know I'm doing nothing to its structural integrity. One side down, guess I'm committed! Here it is with the tank on it, both the tank and frame...

    My new/first real project

I figured it was time to update this a little bit, I'm keeping this thread as a sort of journal with pictures for myself. I've done quite a bit in the past couple of months, started by tearing the bike down to the absolute minimum, I believe the only thing left assembled is the spokes in...

Locking nubs on new bar controls?

Its actually a completely aluminum piece, only plastic bits are the buttons, If anyone is looking for a good quality replacement left hand control switch I would recommend this one, its DOT approved and really quite attractive being all matte black. Its a K&S 12-0041B.

Locking nubs on new bar controls?

Interesting, Okay thanks for the replies, Ill probably grind it down then use some tape underneath it to keep it from moving about, I don't want to deal with drilling my bar with the tools I have access to at the moment

Locking nubs on new bar controls?

I bought a universal left hand control for my project bike I have going on, its meant to fit 7/8" bars which I have but inside there is a nub built into the casing which stops it from clamping cleanly onto the bar. For anyone who has experience with an aftermarket hand switch assembly, am I...

Sounds like a pretty reasonable price for Ontario, exactly what I bought my 2009 with 12,000 km for.

    Ontario Insurance

Yeah TD as everyone else is saying, also having your license for a full year will drop it significantly, im 23 now paying like $1200 a year, this will be three years licensed, it was the same cost for me on my gs500 during my second year licensed, my first year I didn't even ride as they wanted...

    My new/first real project

Ive always disliked one thing about my fz6, and that would be that I dont have enough to fiddle with on it, it always starts, runs perfect, does exactly what it should. The previous owner took care of all the beginner mods, and I installed hyperlights, made my own fender eliminator, stainless...

I got air the other day...

The other day I went out for a little ride in the afternoon, since Ive finished my job for the summer I havent had my 90 km a day ride happening. I decided to hit up a curvy little back road and have a little fun. I used to ride this stretch a lot last year on my GS500F as its pretty secluded...

roads between Parry Sound and Sundridge

Does the Bunny trail turn to gravel at any point? I was Google mapping it and couldn't get a street view down that far, not that im scared of gravel but far too many times have I been surprised with it around a bend or something. I'm in Bracebridge for the summer and always looking for a nice...

    Top Sellerie Seat for Sale

Interesting deal, how far north are you? Im in Ontario and will be in the Muskoka/Perry sound area for the summer. I'd potentially be interested but would really rather giving it a try first, that would also save us both shipping

    My homemade fender eliminator

I actually have a spare heavy duty LED compatible flasher relay kicking around in my tool box from my old bike, not sure if the plug will be the same though, where is the flasher relay on the FZ6? I was looking under the pods but couldn't seem to find one
