    helmet lock for FZ6?

That's very informative, thanks. I've never had a crack at doing it myself, as my locksmith is cheap as chips. It looks easier than I thought, I'll have a go this time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    helmet lock for FZ6?

Thanks for all the info. I'll order the part no that Townsends gave me and take it to my locksmith. The pipe mount I can fab up at work. Thanks again. That's saved me a lot of guess work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    helmet lock for FZ6?

Has anyone attempted to install a helmet lock? My old ZR-7 was factory fitted with one in the same location as the lock to remove the seat on my FZ6. The ZR-7 lock was positioned perfectly for the pillion foot peg to support the weight of the helmet and the "D" shaped ring on the strap went...

Hi, Yes, I waited until the message to say it had been successfully uploaded. I was mainly asking as I went back on later and couldn't see the pic. I've tried three times during the last week, on different devices and different galleries (all Apple devices) without any success. Any tips would...

    FZ6 H4 Naked Conversion Mod

From experience I can say that running both filaments at the same time on a 12V H4 bulb the life expectancy is very short. H4 needs to be switched over, the simplest way would be with the BD43 mod (I think its named after the inventor) how-to listed on here somewhere. I read it the other day and...

    G'day from Oz

Hi, Welcome to the forum. This site is a wealth of FZ6 information, its full of useful how to's and compatibility info. I'm fairly new here too, also from Australia.

    dash swap

Of course, I didn't think to compare both wiring diagrams. I will take a look. I'll chase down a stat write off in Australia when I'm ready to do the swap. It sounds like I should take a few photos and do a "how to" on the wiring and mounting of S2 dash.

    dash swap

I've noticed swapping S2 dash into S1 mentioned a couple of times on here. Can anyone show me where there is more information about wiring and that sort of thing. I've searched and hunted through the "how to" section without much success. I suspect there is a lot about it on here, as it sounds...

    LED turn lights "flickering"

Do you think they are designed to do that?

    LED turn lights "flickering"

I would put a bit more resistance in the circuit and see if the flickering settles down. Just put a bulb back in parallel with the LED indicators, the original bulb indication should be enough to try it. If that works you may need to permanently put a bit more resistance in each circuit to burn...

I am looking for a "modest" exhaust

Yes, I was worried about getting my bike to pass a roadworthy if I ever want to sell it. I've seen plenty of wrecked FZ6 standard mufflers for between $150-$200 in good condition. That said, the removal of 1 baffle would not attract any attention when compared with some of the sport bike and...

I am looking for a "modest" exhaust

I removed one of the three baffles in the OEM muffler in my 05 S1 FZ6. It's quiet enough to start inside my garage and ride off quietly without bugging my neighbours. It now has a raspy bark above 7,000rpm and gets quite loud above 9,000rpm. I posted a link to a youtube video on here about two...

Fixing Throttle Chop, snatch, rewet, response time. Cheap!

Yes, that's what I thought, piggy backs normally aren't that smart, otherwise you would be buying a replacement ECU not a piggy back. I have never seen a Bazzaz in Australia, the Power Commander are overwhelming more popular. I'm trying to avoid the piggy back, as I plan on removing the ignition...

broken off bolt inside frame slider mounting spot

Yes, frame sliders are probably bolted with grade 8 bolts, so it should come out ok

broken off bolt inside frame slider mounting spot

Yes, heli-coils can be present problems as large as the original broken bolt. It looks like dropping the engine out of the way would be needed. Hopefully the bolt would come out with out any major work.

Fixing Throttle Chop, snatch, rewet, response time. Cheap!

I checked that out, the R6 and FZ6 are different. It's a shame theres not an aftermarket supplier of an adjusted wheel. I'm reading that this mod is possible with a Power Commander? Are they clever enough to be able to fiddle with the base timing and ignition map? I thought they were just a...

broken off bolt inside frame slider mounting spot

I agree with Final, I have had much success over the years with a quality LH drill set, centre punch and patience. You could possibly get this type of work performed at a reputable cylinder head/engine reconditioner in your area. Head shops would be pulling broken exhaust studs out regularly and...
