    New to Sacramento area

I'm gonna revive this thread. I've been neglecting my motorcycle, but still paying for insurance, and my registration will be due in March. Since the weather is still nice (usually raining from now until April) I figure why not ride while I can? Who's up for it? I'm going out today alone likely.

    Norcal (Auburn) Sunday Oct 16th

Hope you guys are having fun I totally forgot about the ride this morning, had a long day yesterday. I honestly feel like getting on my bike now and trying to find you but I'm sure after 5 hours of riding you all will want to be going home. Guess I can do MRR another day :(

I'm in, but I might be 2up and taking the turns slow, which I should anyway since I've never done Mosquito Ridge on my bike.

Buzz At 8,000rpm front of bike !!! Clutch Cable!! Have you had the same problem ???

I have the 8k rpm buzz but mine is especially strange. It has always been there since new (I think my clutch cable got stretched from new since the adjuster has always been more than half out) I just got used to it. Bike got knocked over on throttle side, handlebar bent up a bit, buzz got...

Said goodbye to my FZ6 today

NIIIIIICE!!! Love that boxer engine! Trust me, people will think you're a cop riding that. I plan to sell my FZ for a R1200GS and do a ton of adventure touring! If not a Ducati Multistrada.

    Need some gear and accessories

Just ordered the Motovation frame sliders, the other ones I'll get later. I just don't want to rely on some cheap Chinese product, I'll spend $20-40 more for some assurance and a company that stands behind their products, it's really not much to ask for. I'm not surprised that your other...

    Need some gear and accessories

There's a gigantic Cycle Gear store here but I'm pretty much only going to use them to try stuff on. Their satisfaction guarantee is great, but their prices aren't as good as they think, and they're usually idiots. Today I called to ask when they closed so I could return the gloves after work...

    Need some gear and accessories

Ok, well as important as pants are, I still need some more opinions on the jacket, tank bag, and gloves!

    Need some gear and accessories

Well yeah, too big is too big, for any gear. The guy's saying Olympia textile pants are sturdier than any denim. He's probably right. I've seen the jeans for $100+ and thats too much, even with knee pads if textile will hold up better for less. I'm just worried about comfort and ventilation with...

    Need some gear and accessories

Someone on my local forum is saying that even the kevlar reinforced jeans are still useless.

    Need some gear and accessories

The Motovation site specifically says they're made of nylon, not delrin.

    Need some gear and accessories

I'm going crazy with all the choices for gear! Jacket: I want a good summer jacket, don't even know where to start. Gloves: Got Alpinestar SP-X gloves but they aren't as comfortable as leather and not as vented as they seemed. I had mesh Frank Thomas ones but the mesh started fraying...

    Shoei RF-1100

Going from a Scorpion EXO700 I was dead set on the RF-1100. It was incredibly comfortable in a size smaller than my Scorpion (medium instead of large). The Shoei in large was too loose. But I got fitted at a BMW dealer and they directed me to the Arai Vector in large which also fit very well. I...

    Bike pushed over

Were those Yamaha parts or aftermarket? I was wondering where to look for a handlebar and if I should take this opportunity get a wider/flatter one? And I have no clue about taking the controls off and whatnot...

    Bike pushed over

Thanks for the tip. This is a good reason for me to have a shop check it.
