I'm gonna revive this thread. I've been neglecting my motorcycle, but still paying for insurance, and my registration will be due in March. Since the weather is still nice (usually raining from now until April) I figure why not ride while I can?
Who's up for it? I'm going out today alone likely.
Hope you guys are having fun I totally forgot about the ride this morning, had a long day yesterday. I honestly feel like getting on my bike now and trying to find you but I'm sure after 5 hours of riding you all will want to be going home. Guess I can do MRR another day :(
I have the 8k rpm buzz but mine is especially strange. It has always been there since new (I think my clutch cable got stretched from new since the adjuster has always been more than half out) I just got used to it.
Bike got knocked over on throttle side, handlebar bent up a bit, buzz got...
NIIIIIICE!!! Love that boxer engine! Trust me, people will think you're a cop riding that.
I plan to sell my FZ for a R1200GS and do a ton of adventure touring! If not a Ducati Multistrada.
Just ordered the Motovation frame sliders, the other ones I'll get later. I just don't want to rely on some cheap Chinese product, I'll spend $20-40 more for some assurance and a company that stands behind their products, it's really not much to ask for.
I'm not surprised that your other...
There's a gigantic Cycle Gear store here but I'm pretty much only going to use them to try stuff on. Their satisfaction guarantee is great, but their prices aren't as good as they think, and they're usually idiots. Today I called to ask when they closed so I could return the gloves after work...
Well yeah, too big is too big, for any gear. The guy's saying Olympia textile pants are sturdier than any denim. He's probably right. I've seen the jeans for $100+ and thats too much, even with knee pads if textile will hold up better for less. I'm just worried about comfort and ventilation with...
I'm going crazy with all the choices for gear!
Jacket: I want a good summer jacket, don't even know where to start.
Gloves: Got Alpinestar SP-X gloves but they aren't as comfortable as leather and not as vented as they seemed. I had mesh Frank Thomas ones but the mesh started fraying...
Going from a Scorpion EXO700 I was dead set on the RF-1100. It was incredibly comfortable in a size smaller than my Scorpion (medium instead of large). The Shoei in large was too loose. But I got fitted at a BMW dealer and they directed me to the Arai Vector in large which also fit very well. I...
Were those Yamaha parts or aftermarket? I was wondering where to look for a handlebar and if I should take this opportunity get a wider/flatter one? And I have no clue about taking the controls off and whatnot...
It is mostly scratches and such it's just really irritating because everything looked new still. Handlebar is priority. How much is a new one? I don't know how easily it can be bent back. Should I take the opportunity to get a flatter aftermarket bar?
Looking down at the top of the fork while...
I was at my buddy's apartment in Davis. The bike was parked in a non reserved spot in the front lot. It was dark there and its not really visible from the street because of a hedge. I don't think anyone would have seen it from anywhere but in the parking lot. There was no wind, the pavement...
If I saw him smirking I would have probably said "what are you smirking about?" and see if he had the balls to say what he was thinking.
Harley riders seem to forget, going along with that Sturgis story, they don't know how to really ride bikes, they know how to cruise and kick over sport...
Crashed another bike, figured I'd be good and keep this one mint, but no fault of my own some jerk decided to do it for me. I'm beyond words right now.
Seriously, who the hell does this? :Flip:
And of course I didn't get frame sliders yet.
Damage:
-Throttle side handle bar bent
-Handle bar slider probably needs replacing
-part of the lower engine case scraped
-footpeg might be bent
-footpeg slider broken
Sound like enough to...
