Hoping I can join you for next Saturday's ride, but work has been crazy and Saturdays are on the table for the next few weeks -so I'm a definite 'maybe'.
After I added a ZX-6rr to the stable, my FZ6 was my tourer/commuter. Eventually replaced it with an 800GS.
I miss the FZ's top end power, but around town the torquey-twin makes life easy. It's a bit better off-road too :)

The first auction was an amazing deal for whoever got the KLR. It went for under $5k and was a nicely-prepped budget adventure bike. I bid on it, but decided to go the F800GS route instead (new bike still needed to crunch fast hwy miles...
Just wanted to post this up for you all to check out. I sold my FZ a month ago to Bikebandit.com for Cycle World's Project Re-Cycle so they could turn it into a streetfighter and auction it off for charity. Their site went live a while back so now it's time you see the beast my former stocker...

Thanks, sax. Turns out I had my service intervals confused so no need for valves yet, but I just found out my parents will be visiting that weekend so now I might not be able to make it. I'll keep my eye out for the ride details in case I can keep my morning/afternoon free.
