I would have to say no. Although the FZ6 was my first bike and will always hold a very special place in my heart, I wouldn't trade my FJR1300 back for it...

for me it's all about exploring new places, and having fun doing so!

Sounds like a great trip. I'll be riding the Alps myself later this year, and if you're a TopGear fan, you'll know one of the best driving roads is Davos (Switserland) to Stelvio (Italy). You could do it in reversed order of course. Just google Davos to Stelvio for more info! Good luck and have fun!

I used to live in Gastonia (near Charlotte) but moved back to Europe. Loved NC though!

My first bike was a brand new FZ6: I sold it after one year, and I'm now riding a FJR1300: I'll hang on to it for a little while longer :)

I went to the salon in Brussels last month. Was pretty cool, but I'm holding on to my FJR1300 :) I'd like to try one of the Honda CB1300's though...

I'm planning on doing the Stelvio pass next summer. But I just found out about this one: 48 kilometers of pure driving pleasure - Grossglockner High Alpine Road I'm there!! :rockon:

I have the BT23's on my FJR and love them. Didn't really care for the Metzeler.
