    Warped front fork washer/guide?

Yes, that is probably what happened to me. I *thought* I had removed the clip first. Got interrupted at some point during tear-down, etc. and so there you go. Replacing bushings, etc. and had inspected interior so I think I'm good to go as soon as the new washers arrive. Thanks everyone for...

    Warped front fork washer/guide?

I'm not sure what you mean by the top (outer) bush unseating easily. Everything (tom me; first time I have ever done this) appeared the same between the two forks. I did inspect interiors of the fork tubes and did not notice anything amiss, or different between the two. Thanks.

    Warped front fork washer/guide?

Greetings. 2007 FZ6, stock front end. I tore down my front forks to replace the seals and and noticed that the large washer (#12 in Service manual diagram on page 4-65; or "upper cover guide" part number 4TX-23115-00-00) of one side is different than the other. I'm pretty sure they ought...

First big trip starts on Wednesday!

Forgot to mention earlier, but I found the cramp-buster invaluable. Well worth it's cheap price! Original Motorcycle Cruise Control - Crampbuster

First big trip starts on Wednesday!

I found my tank bag was quite handy to keep odds and ends in. I have Givi hard-side cases too, and for my recent 3-day trip didn't take my top case. Yes, include a rain suit just in case. Take extra hearing protection, and maybe some kind of cloth or something soft to keep the visor clean.

The Best and Worst on your FZ6

Can probably look at the most popular mods to see what irks most. Lack of adjustable forks, the one-eyed low beam, on the S1 I dislike the complex windscreen as it made it almost impossible to find an aftermarket replacement. I like the nimbleness and reliability, the up-right seating...

    Venhill braided brake lines installed

Recently I replaced my stock lines with new Venhill braided lines. I bought the carbon-look ones. I additionally replaced all the seals and pads. Overall it was a straightforward process, although I did have a little trouble getting the front brakes to firm up when bleeding them. Since the...

    Went down

Glad you are OK; hoping you heal quickly. Any idea how you hit (I'm assuming face first)? With a full-face helmet I guess I would not have expected those injuries. Did anything break, like the chin strap? Or perhaps it was not cinched tightly? It's always good to try and glean what we can...

New guy here, looking for advice!

Welcome to Texas, and to the FZ6. I have a red 07 also; had a blue 04 prior to this one. On that previous bike, leaning it was like a two-stage process. The rear tire had flattened a bit due to wear, so there was almost a corner in its profile. It too still had a lot of tread left, but the...

    Texas / DFW Insurance

Hi all, Looks like I may need to shop around; Geico is raising my rate. No accidents, claims, tickets; they just think they can charge more. Any Texas / DFW area riders who can provide an insurance recommendation? Thanks!

    Air assist fork caps!

Dang Scott, could you at least spring for some chrome caps :) Thanks for the write-up; it's an interesting and possible mod.

    Fenda Extenda installed

No issues on mine. I have no idea how many miles since installation, but I can report that there has been riding in wet/rainy conditions and it does help keep junk off the engine and pipes. It is an easy and pretty quick modification and I think well worth the small effort.
