I usually average 52mpg, temps don't seem to affect my bike. Fill-up before last, I averaged 56mpg. I'm not sure what to attribute the increase to. I changed the oil last week and went back to 10W-30. 20W-40 caused to much vibration. Lighter oil may help with fuel economy as well.

I changed my oil at 3100 miles. Put in 20W-40 per the Yamaha mechanics recommendation. I was wearing heavy gloves all the time back then, so I didn't notice the increased vibrations in the bars. Once the temps started to warm and summer gloves came out, my hands numbed and right wrist...

The Skyway is Cherohala. Combination of Cherokee and Nantahala because it goes through both National Forests. I haven't been through that area yet. Looking to this summer. The Dragon is approx. 3 hours from where I live.

I found the forum and signed up. I have had my FZ6 since Dec. 2006. I like the styling, power, handling, etc. I dislike the seat. It isn't very comfortable, so I'm hoping to do some research and find one that will be more to my liking.
