I could never seem to keep my hands warm on a ride under 40 (F) degrees, even with agood pair of winter riding gloves. So I decided to try a cheap pair of grip heaters, that I found on ebay for about $6 u.s. I figured, if they sucked I was only out 6 bucks! And surprisingly enough they work...
Using JB weld might be kinda tricky, I guess you could pull it off if it was really thick, because when you cut it open either with an angle grinder or a plasma cutter you are taking away material, that creates a gap that you will have to fill with the weld. Also if you open it up like I did...

You could try insulating that section of the mid pipe, with some exhaust "heat' wrap. Works pretty good for me. :thumbup:

How did going down a tooth on your front sprocket change your fuel economy, if at all? I am looking to make this change but commute about 80 miles per day and would like to keep a respectable average mpg. I would love to hear about other combination of final gearing and there result on FZ6...
The Scorpion looks like a great deal, I've never owned one but others have said good things about them.
