I just left that group because 1. They all start rides in the city or out North. and 2. its always on a Sunday. Would be good to have a hills riders group that started each ride in the actual hills and stayed there.

That is why I shopped around myself last year. They checked the valves but no adjustment was needed. General consensus on the forums is that it is not needed but I wanted them checked for peace of mind. Had another idea...how about a GOPro. They can not slug me too much more than retail...
