You can't beat Spencer for the price. My ass was killing me after 45 minutes, I sent my seat to Spencer and for $100 I can now ride all day and the seat feels great.
I've been using the Vibranator Bar Ends for almost a month now, and I love 'em. See previous post here:
They screw right in to the stock bars. The damping post (gold section) goes thru the thread holes. $120+ shipping:
These are the HVMP bar ends for Yahama $78+ shipping:
Not sure how...
Yeah, the cables were fine even with the stock bar and both risers, but just barely. With the FZ1 bar there is plenty of room. I didn't drill the holes because at the time I had filled the bar with lead shot so I just snipped off the nubs on the clamps instead. No problem.
Now the lead is...
I started with the 1" risers/setbacks, then added the 1.25" risers before finally trying the FZ1 bar. If I had to do it right the first time, I would have tried the FZ6R bar with the 1" riser/setbacks first. I still might do that, the new FZ1 bar was only $50 so if the FZ6R is about the same...
I went from stock bars/no risers to:
First 1" risers/1" setback, then added 1.25" risers.
Side view, I also tried to reduce the vibration with a strip of hard rubber I got from the hardware store.
I then added FZ1 bars.
With the FZ1 bars there is plenty of slack to add another...

I've had my 2006 FZ6 for a year now, purchased with 9,119 miles now 13,522. I've had issues with handlebar vibrations putting my throttle hand to sleep. I bought the bike primarily to commute 10 miles to work for which the buzziness has not been an issue, however, it has kept me from enjoying...
Wow, that sucks. I really enjoyed watching their coverage, never watched road racing before. For some reason, I don't like watching the FIM coverage at all, but the AMA coverage was great (although I found myself wishing they would mix the audio with the sound of the bikes at a lower level, I...
Just installed FZ1 bars yesterday, along with ProGrip 719 grips, Grip Puppies, and filled the bars with lead shot.
So far, after a short 45 minute ride today, I love them. Not crazy about leaning a little further forward, so I might get 1" risers. I have the 1" up/back risers so maybe I'll...
So far, I've tried new ProGrips 719 grips, Grip Puppies, and filled the bars with lead shot. I did not use silicone with the lead b/c I'm not sure what silicone to use that would not be so sticky I could pour it into the bar.
I'm going to try the fz1 bars next, for less sweep and a different...
I went thru the same process a couple months ago, my seat would be killing me after an hour, right in the middle it feels like there is a hump. I sent my seat to Spencer and for $90 + $50 shipping both ways I have what feels like a totally different seat. Turnaround time was almost 2 weeks (4...
Re: Anti buzz -- Silicone & Lead in Bars??
I'm ready to try filling my bars with lead, but how do you mix it with silicone? The silicone is sooo sticky... Would it make sense to just fill the bars with lead and put silicone in each end, enough so it doesn't leak out of the holes for the bar...
I did the Spencer mod with the gel, I am very happy. Spencer turned it around right away so downtime was limited to shipping time. It feels great, no hump in the middle so it feels flatter. Very comfortable, definitely worth the $90 + shipping and downtime.
I'm sure I would love the Corbin...
