Thanks for the harness! It actually came a week+ ago.. (Sorry I didn’t post sooner..) Just got a chance to install it… Instructions and harness where perfect…
Took about 2 hours to install – but that includes time solder a disconnect and rerun my Zumo harness….
Thanks again...
I stopped worrying about the gravel... Now I’m more worried about dew or wild animals.. My 3rd month back in the St. Louis area I was headed home and the dew was up - didn’t realize that the turn into our subdivision would be just barely slick.. Accelerating out of the turn the bike just walked...
Just went over the -S0 manual to see if the wire harness was different... Out of like the six diagrams they all had the same 4 connectors... The manual was in spanish though.. So I couldnt do a quick search.. And with the multiple schematics the manual is almost twice as long as the FZS6W...
He has those four connections.. Plus the two he pointed out...
You can barely see them in his.. Attached is an image that points out the 4 connectors for the FZ6...
The black connector with Green/Black wires is for the Rear Left Turn
The grey connector with the red/black is for rear right...
Geoff...
I was just going to vote no... But in checking out both pics I decided to put my 2¢ in.... First glance (well either way) I think your bike looks great and doesnt really need it.. However, if you toggle between the two pictures your bike suddently starts looking like its...
The customizatoin probably wont matter as I would just order one of the specials to save an extra few bucks... Also the fast turn around is a major benefit...
I think I have pretty much decided to go with the TS... Probably give it a few days to think over and then roll with it...
All depends on who pulls you over (and if)....
I had my bike up to 187* on Hwy 111 near the salton sea one time.. When my KBC helmet started falling apart... (heard a click and then felt a pop on either side as the locks for the face sheild started failing)
And as to my comment about who...
I had a few friends that may do different portions of the trip.. Just depends on when / if I ultimatly decide to do it this summer... One of my holdups is needing to abandon the stock seat... Hence my initial response....
I will keep you informed...
While I owned 2 bikes prior, my new FZ6 is the only one that I seriously started riding on… At the time I was just over 6’2” and 185#... I went through the dealers for every manufacture of motorcycles (well sport anyways) to figure out what I wanted and what felt right… For me the new FZ6...
This is the latest revision.. LOL I keep changing it around... The core route is the same.. but I keep adding and removing side trips / detours...
Hopefully the trip will be:
1. St Louis, MO (starting)
2. Rapid City, SD 1-2 Days
Mount Rushmore
Crazy Horse
3. *Denver, CO 2 Days...
Just wondering: Has anybody done long distance rides with either the Corbin or TS? And by long distance I mean really long distance.. I am contemplating doing a 4900 mile 14 day ride in a month or two…
Coming back to STL I did 1900 miles in just over two days with the stock seat. I am...
???? How? Throw it on a trailer and tote it all around the US? <grin>
I know keeping it under a hundred would help extend the life of the tire.. but would severely shorten the life of my a$$ on long rides... This past week it took me 8 1/2 hours to ride to Milwaukee from STL with stops...
Tailgate: If im lucky.... Well... lately i guess they are not "completly" bald at 5K but still need changing..... Probably could have gotten another 3-500 miles out of them... but... not going to risk it anymore..
