Thanks again for all your help so far, haven't been able to get a look at the FZ6 yet (my DRZ400S which I commute on is playing up) Will hopefully get a look at it over the weekend.
Thanks
I rode it for a few miles at legal speed and came back home again. I tried bump starting it this morning before I took the battery out and it had the same effect.
The charger is old and I have no clue what ampere it puts out as trickle.I'm thinking it wasn't wise to use it (it maybe didn't help...
Ok.
Fuel pump whirrs when I turn the ignition on
No error code on dash
Hit the starter and the starter motor cranks the engine over
It's getting fuel because I have smelt it
Appears to be no spark to ignite the fuel
Would it help if I recorded trying to start it from key in to -trying to...
Yes I can hear the fuel pump. It all sounds completely normal until it just cranks over and does nothing.
@RJ Using a normal run of the mill 12v charger in "normal" trickle mode. I can get it tested no problem if that would be a recommendation?
My 2004 FZ6 has been in my warm dry shed for a few weeks now.Started and ran for a while about a week ago.
Had it out of the shed today and when I tried to start it and ride back in..Nothing
Took the battery out and had it charging for a few hours:Still nothing
It wants to start but...
I've found lately too that I yearn more for an offroad/enduro bike. Road/touring bike wise I'm in love with the R1200GS Adventure and would happily purchase an R1/R6 or GSXR the track.
Not sure about availability but I have the full set of Spada Milan Tex camo which actually have 2 zips. Short stretchy zip and an almost full circumference one.
Excellent gear but not much use for commuters,I have to wear light layers or thermals and have a shower in work which means lugging...
Wow  It looks like some sort of mobile gatso camera, paint it yellow and wear a hi-viz vest over your bike gear (ATGATT) (joking, police impersonation is prosecutable)
Tinted visor or sunglasses and be aware of sun glare.
Puncture repair kit -these are tiny and most come with little co2 bottles to reinflate the tyre.
GPS/Phone - phone essential at least. If no gps a map can be kept in a tank bags clear pocket.
Spare batteries for torches,radios,mp3 players...
