I just downloaded google chrome beta and the good news is this site works on it ,lol.
Everything seems fine so far, anyone else tried it yet ?

Might just be me ,but it seems to run quicker.
Has tab browsing and everything imported from firefox just fine.

Phishing and malware protection and password saver.

I downloaded it but it isn't working at all, everytime I try to import my bookmarks it tells me I have to close all my firefox windows....they are all closed. Will try to reset in the morning and try again

A review in the WSJ said it would be faster, but lacked some features in the initial release, including some favorites/bookmarks type stuff. Going to download it now.

Just found a feature that allows you to detach a tabbed page and move it around,no real use but something different.
Also if a web page crashes you can shut down the crashed page and not the whole browser, all good so far.

I'm a big fan of Google. Currently running Vista Business 32-bit with SP1. I have Symantec Endpoint Protection installed and I get an chrome.exe - application error (0xc0000005). I have not found solutions on the web. Disabling Symantec Endpoint does not help. Maybe with the newer edition it will work for me.

I'll give it a try when the Linux version comes out. If anyone wants to sign up for when the Linux version is released you can submit your email address here:

Linux - Google Chrome
Mac - Google Chrome

I like my Opera. Any benefits to Chrome?

Opera is a fine browser, no question. I've only been using Chrome for about an hour or so, so I cannot give a great review on it yet. However, the one thing that I have noticed is that it appears to be a bit snappier than the other browsers available. Even a bit faster than Opera, in my opinion. Then again, I haven't used Opera for a few months, so things could have changed since then.

Oh yeah... for those of you using Chrome, open a new Web page in another tab, and then click and drag that tab around the screen. You can create another browser window with it. Not tremendously useful for me at the moment, but I like the transparent effect. I also like the internal instant spell checker as I type my messages.

OK! Downloaded and installed in my VDI after taking a snapshot (in case it crashed!) but hey!!! This is FAST! I'm using it now and loving it! I can't believe how fast it is! Great Beta Google!!

Even with all it's flaws, I tend to prefer IE, I have tried Firefox and now Google but I guess it is familiararity as I opened it and now have reverted back to dear old Microsoft.

Give Chrome a good hard runthru and really explore and learn the features. You may find yourself switching. I was diehard IE7 but I'm already liking this the more I use it. :D Keep in mind, it is a Beta!

Sounds like a good challenge to me, I am more than happy to change if the new one is better.

 Cool!

I had a couple issues but showing some patience, well.... it sort of fixed itself. I did have to Taskman it once to end it. It had an issue loading a few plugins, but the next visit, the plugin loaded. I went to fantasticcontraption.com and it appeared to lock up there, however, I waited it out for a couple minutes and it popped up and said the plugin crashed. I refreshed the page and it did load the second time.

Outside of those, I'm liking it! You can add the browser bar and pull into it your favorite sites. The new home page is great. You can grab a tab and pull it away from the existing browser to create a new page. Or put it back...

Look through the options and right-click everything. ;)
