Hey all you all you South Aussie FZ6 riders, who's interested in getting together for a ride?

Just woke this morning to see beautiful weather out my window....on the phone, time to organise a ride...result, me and 2 mates meeting at Mc Donalds on Main North Road at 12.45pm today, if anyone wants to join us, i think we are doing Lobethal Road today, just a short ride to Lobethal, then through Birdwood, and back to the City via Tea Tree Gully.

If anyone has the time, and no committments today, get your gear on, and get to Macca's...have not seen weather like this for weeks!

Well as i gave such short notice, and i did'nt try to ring anyone and bother them, it ended up just being me on the FZ6, and my mate Matt on his TRX 850 on our ride today...weather was perfect, blue skies, no wind, and not too much traffic on the roads.

Ended up going the way i said we would, stopped at Lobethal for Coffee, Red Bull, and a quick chat to other riders stopped there, then road back to the city, stopped at the local football at Prospect Oval, to watch Port thump North, had a quiet,cleansing ale, and home.

Lovely day, am looking forward to a decent ride with as many of you lot as possible, whewn the weather is a bit more reliable to precict.

The ride did however remind me why i am modding my suspension...back end wallowing out of turns, front end too plush under hard braking, cant wait to put my bike in tomorrow to have issue rectified.

Actually am thinkiing of inviting all you SA fz6 people up to my house on Sunday October 5, for a Barbeque, and we can watch the Australian Moto GP on the big projector screen.

So if any of you SA guys are interested, PM me, and we can get it sorted...will be a few other Bike people there as well, so it could be a great way to watch the race...chat bout bikes, bench race, etc.

That sounds like a great idea. That weekend falls in the middle of 2 weeks off work for me, so I'm definately interested, especially as the Boss has basically told me I'll be single if I mention going over to the race once more...lol.

Glad you enjoyed the ride, when I told the boss you were heading up that way, she said that I could go if I didn't have to sleep, she wants me to drop into Melba's Chocky Factory and grab some yummy stuff...lol

Right well, with you two, and four other guys (The four that we went on our first FZ6 ride with), and me, that makes 7 so far. Will be an early finish, as i have to work at HQ Complex at 7pm that night. Am guessing it will be a pretty chilled out affair drinks wise, just a couple of ales, as most will have to drive or ride home. Gonna cook up a bit fat barby though!
 
Ok folks, Spring is here, the weather is looking good....LETS GO FOR A RIDE! I plan on going for a ride this Sunday. My bike will be back from the shop, so will be keen to test out my new mods.

Weather permitting, am meeting at Mc Donalds on Magill Road at 10am. Am thinking, that if the weather is real goods, we could do the Victor Harbour run, via Delamere Road, as it's a good mix, of slow & fast stuff, with a decent destination for a coffee, and chat at victor, before we ride home.

Will also be inviting non FZ riders, and at this point, we definitely have my TRX 850 riding buddy confirmed, plus it's highly likely, that there will be a z1000, Hayabusa, and ZX6R, coming along too....might even ask a couple of the boys that work at Yamaha World if they want to come too.

Could be a great day,so....who's up for it?

G'day folks. I reckon this might be a good opportunity to meet you guys and go for a ride. Not to mention a coffee and/or ginger beer. Have to make sure I'm free but it looks good so far.

I'm down Hackham way for now. just split with the Missus after ten years (hence the new ride:thumbup:) and had to move out of my house for a bit. Will eventually get back in there, but for now I'm at Hackham.
 
No stress Jules....weather is getting better...Many Sunday rides to come...have not spent all my hard earned just to commute! Anyways....you were going to cook us all breakfast one day soon?

Yes most definately just not this sunday, also dont know if my seat will be back. Does a mod gives to me, go try take back, remod gives to me, go ride remod. this has been goping on for 3 weeks now with a week inbetween each.
 
Will be interested to see & feel the results of your seat mod....will have to be better than the plank the bike comes with!
 
Yeh we are going bit by bit so as not to go too soft and stodgy wont be as good as a gel seat, but am also hopeing wont cost anywhere as much either.
 
Have got five riders confirmed for Sunday, and waiting on at least 2 more that are getting back to me....bit sad that Jules & Stumbles cant come.
