I've had my red FZ6 for 3 months now and I'm very impressed with the bike. At first it seemed kind of heavy and the shifting in the lower gears felt clunky but now that I'm used to it the bike just keeps getting better and better. I love how stable it is on the highway. It hardly moves around at all.

I remember when I started looking around for bikes that as soon as I sat on the FZ6 it felt like it just fit. Honestly, I never paid much attention to that bike before and didn't know anything about it. I think all of us FZ6 owners found something really great.

I know what you're saying! I've had mine now for 13 months, and each day it STILL gets better and better. Today I ordered my first set of new tires, Michelin Pilot Powers, and will be anxious to see what a difference they will make.

I totally agree, I fall more and more in love everyday. One of the best things about it is the value. Yamaha didnt exactly skimp on this bikes engineering (handling, performance, looks, braking, materials, and on and on) but I got mine brand new for just over $6000 (the 08's were out). It's also a very moddable bike although it seems many manufactures have yet to realize this.

Whether your thing is touring or you are a streetfighter, there is something to like about this bike. It's a bike you can grow into but not out grow. It's a docile pussy cat below 7K and a tiger after that. There may come a time when you want another bike but you won't want to give up the FZ6!:rockon:

i agree. i just got back from a little ride. very confident, in fact i railed it. after reading an article posted here about going for it or crashing, i went for it. awesome on a road you are familiar with. no traffic. geared up. confidence. countersteering. unbelievable.

It's a good thing I got the bike I have now because it was between the FZ6 and this KTM:

The riding gear was nice but I guess I just like the color red more than I do pink. :cheer:

WhatI like about it too is how much my other biker friends like it...HD and a Big Dog rider...they are now always wanting to borrow it. I should rent it put! hahah

I agree completely. Interesting comment about it being so stable highway as that's been my experience as well. I didn't expect it to be so stable given that it's 125lbs lighter than my last bike, but at 85 it just purrs along and handles like a dream.

Just when I think I can ride this thing to its potential (I've had it for a month) I get the revs up past 8K and I realize I've got a LOT to grow into....

And there's the fact that it looks like an angry, futuristic wasp when parked. Sweet. Build quality is impressive too.

Way to go, Norm! :thumbup: I know you haven't really pushed your new FZ6 yet, so you've got all that enjoyment ahead of you. The bike will never fail to astonish you. Every time.

I keep doing that thing where you leave it in a low gear, say second, so you can rev it up getting on the freeway or passing another car. But then you look down and suddenly you're going 95mph. It's a deceptively quick little bike.
