this is called a case-mod. it is where someone manually creates or alters the case of a computer tower so it looks nice, and everything runs optimally with the cooling system. also, it is common to mod a case to make it as efficient as possible aesthetically...minimal mess, maximum visual presentation...

well this guy took it to the extreme. this was a 3 year project that cost a LOT of manhours of METICULOUS by-hand manual work. i have done basic stuff on some computers i have and wow that stuff is extremely tiny and delicate and takes hours upon hours of patient, methodical work to do....

Programmed both of them at one time or another. Basic for the Sinclair and Mumps for the PDP-11. Both classics though the PDP-11's popularity probably outlived the Sinclair by a decade.
