That did the trick !!! It works like a charm, however my dumbass may have screwed the fuel filter back on wrong ? I noticed it was leaking drop by drop. Any suggestions?

Left out bike for a 2 months, starts up but bogs down when revving and idiling.

That large, round gasket is a one time only use...
Just replace with a new one...

Replaced it, is it supposed to wrap around tightly around the edges? i tried pushing it in as far as it can go but i’ll try filling it tommfow and seeing how it goes.

I don't remember as it's been well over a decade since I replaced the tank.
I believe theirs a flat side on the seal/ tapered on the other side.
The flat side of the seal goes on the pump first. It should seat fully. Then install the unit in the tank..

yeah i tried lining it up as best as i could, i hope it stays in place. It would suck to take all the fuel out and pump apart again

seems to have worked, getting a lot of white smoke though nit sure if it’s just because it’s cold or what but i washed it all with water invase any fuel got into the exhaust pipes when i was taking the fuel out. If that’s the case than i’ve fixed it

Not valve noise…it’s timing chain noise. These bikes tend to have noisy timing chains. How many miles are on the bike?

Your cam chain tensionor may near the end of it's travel, or the chain guide may be worn. Like I said, these engines have loud cam chains and it's hard to tell from the video clip if yours is unusual. This is something that can be looked at and addressed during the 25,000 valve check service. If you think its too loud, just have the valve service performed a little early.

A broken timing chain = garbage engine. The pistons hit the valves...everything bends...garbage.
Like I said, I can't tell from the video if it's unusually noisy. Maybe bring it to a Yamaha dealer (around the back where the mechanics are) and ask a mechanic. With that said...you are "in the zone" for a valve adjustment. Checking the guide and tensionor is part of that process.
