As the title says, I am looking to get a replacement bracket that holds the exhaust for my 05 FZ6 as it is busted.

Ahhh is that just on Ebay? I suppose I should always check there unless someone has site (partzilla) that they recommend for OEM parts?

Yeah, that's ebay.
You have to be careful though, I just bought a timing case cover from aliexpress.com, but I couldn't find it ANYWHERE under the actual name for it, so I wasn't sure if the fit would be right.
Sometimes cycle gear is good, but they don't tend to be as granular as I'd like.
As far as I'm aware there's not an autozone equivalent for motorcycles.

There's also a parts/wanted section of this forum, so you could check there. However, if they're too far away, you might as well get one off ebay.

Pick out your part, click add one, type some info, then hand over the mulla!
BTW, I'm not sure what part broke on your bike but it's kind of unusual. When replacing that part, you may want to loosen everything up in the exhaust system and make sure there's no in-due stress in any area...
Tighten evenly..

Finally got the part in and it is the right one. I've attached picture of where the bracket breaks/disconnect on the left. My question is I am not exactly sure how to remove in since the exhaust is in the way, seems like I have to detatch the license plate holder and remove the exhaust to get access to replace the bracket, any ideas?

Sorry thought the picture I posted highlighted it but added the box to see, but it is the bracket with rubber cover that holds the exhaust up. See picture below. I am pretty sure I will have to remove exhaust to do this though based on youtube videos of people installing after market exhausts but havent found a great video of process. On the bright side the weird whining sound on my bike has stopped...

Looking at the Yamaha parts diagram, I don't see anything that resembles that (for the stock exhaust)....
I think their Leo Vince pipes? If so, (or who ever the manufacturer is), contact them. They should have an installation instructions on-line. Once you have directions and parts list SEE BELOW **
I suspect the part that's broke is NOT a Yamaha part. But yes, you will have to do some dismantling.
Did the strap itself break or the stud it attaches to?
** Just looked at my Scorpions. That bracket (from what I can see) is NOT a Yamaha part, it came with the pipes. Of course the strap should wrap around the pipe and then onto that bracket.
