Hello everybody. I'm new on this forum and first of all sorry about my english and typos there migh be.
My question is about US model turn signals. Is there some kind of running lights on the turn signals? Why i'm asking is that i'm planning to do white running lights on my turn signals with switchback led bulb and in EU models there is only one wire in signals. So if i'm going to do that i need blinkers where is place to bulb with running light and turn signal? Thank you and hope somebody understand what i'm meening

:welcome: to our great forum!

In the US the FZ6 has a running light and signal light in the same lamp for the front left and right turn signals. The rear turn signal has just the turn signal filament.

Most people here who change to LED signals eliminate the running light in the front and only run the turn signal.
The tail light in the FZ6 uses a 2 filament lamp. One for the brake light and one for the running light.
If you wanted additional running lights at the rear of the bike you could tap into the blue wire that feeds the tail light.

Below is a list of the color codes for the signals on US models. They may be the same for all countries.

Left front turn signal with running light. That's two filament per bulb in the front.
Chocolate colored wire= turn signal filament.
Blue colored wire= running light filament.
Black wire= Ground or negative.

Right front turn signal with running light.
Dark green colored wire= turn signal filament.
Blue with a red tracer colored wire= running light filament.
Black wire= Ground or negative.

Left rear turn signal.
Chocolate colored wire= turn signal filament.
Black wire= Ground or negative.

Right rear turn signal.
Dark green colored wire= turn signal filament.
Black wire= Ground or negative.

Brake light
Yellow colored wire = brake light
Blue colored wire = running light
Black wire= Ground or negative.

This is a funny thread as I'm in the US and bought EU lights front and rear... both are made by yamaha, the front have DRL and turn, the rear turn, run, brake.

You should be able to find the PN here....
2008 FZ6 - FZS6XL Yamaha Motorcycle Parts

I bought these, they seem pretty bright both front and rear but have not been installed yet. The color plates swap out so they will be black and not silver. They come with load ballasts, but with an electronic flasher, there is no need for them. They also have rubber cushion at the mount and can move so as not to shear off but certainly not as limber as the stock oem mount.

Almost purchased from that seller but shipping to the US was twice as much. The price is a bit steep but having the logo, well hopefully the quality is good.

I also bought the 3 wire mating plug and tear drop filler plate so the front will be a bolt on. No hacking. The rear is getting run and brakes added so I'll have to be creative there. It will be clean and unplug easily...
