Deer are stupid!

Last night as dusk fell this stupid deer plotted a collison course to ram me. It played out as if in slow-mo as it ran ahead into the street.
Honestly i saw them, heads are up one just came charging. Its ahead of the frame and just getting to the street. My speed was 70ish until here. Now at 10 or so And taking avasive maneuvers...
The buck bolted the other way...

I've never had a head on hit on a deer on any vehicle but I've come close about 50 times and one struck my side mirror with it's head on my cage. I have found that the best chance to NOT hit one is to keep the speeds reasonable at dusk and at night, constantly scan the sides of the road and if you see one, no matter where it is or what it is doing, slow down as quickly as possible and a few short bleeps on the horn tends to cause them to freeze rather than bolting.

FWIW: Not my first rodeo in these parts. Average has to be 2 dear per 5-6 outings. Just never seen one lock on, make a path and set course to me CHARGE!!! I Zinged the 2Bro and she turned back to join the gang!

Chipmunks for example: you can count on those to go back an fourth at least 3 times before returning to the road side. Dear just bounce from the roadside into the road with a "Derp" - look, I'm in the road and typically wish to not be hit as **most** head back off the road. Certainly not all of them. Obviously I saw this gang and slowed down for that blurred shot as I watched in ahh as the dumb one went into attach mode!
