I love how I have my R6 forks set up, the bike is extremely nimble at almost any speed, couldnt do that with the stock forks

so, just to check, (i may have missed this point) do the forks off an 03/04 r6 just work with the fz6 triple, axle, brakes, wheel, etc? can i just buy the forks tubes only on ebay and have it bolt right up?

Almost....
You need the R6 axle, a wheel spacer kit, and brackets to hold the fender. But yes, it all bolts up. Im not sure if Dak081 is still selling the kits, but he had everything as a kit for this. Find the fork threads with BD43 and you'll see in vivid colors all you need to know.
