Fazer 600 01 rear shock problem

Hi folks just a question in regards to the fazer 600 2001 model ... The rear shock in mine has past its sell by date and i need to replace it... Im about 6" and 13st so average enough for a bloke...and pretty new to the fazer never had one before this!!

I am wondering first of all what shocks fit this model fazer???
Also should i replace it with a standard shock or an aftermarket shock or something from a different bike that matches the fazers one??

Hi, thanks for posting, although there are lots of members on the forum with a whole range of different bikes your question may not be answered specifically as the forum was initally designed with the second generation Fazer in mind (FZ6-S).

In general terms the question can be answered by asking yourself a few questions.
What type of riding do you do? Do you need a more sport orientated ride?
Did the standard shock provide you with enough adjustability to suit your height and weight?
Whats your budget? If money is not an issue the consensus would be to buy the best shock you can afford.

Alright just tought someone out of all the members you have on this forum might of had some experience with that model since it is the same make of bike just a different gen!!
