Just received my package from motodynamic last night and got the tail light installed in approx 40-45 mins, it was my first time taking apart the rear of the bike. Anyways so far im very impressed and the light output is much better than the factory tail. heres a few pics and videos

I've been seriously considering getting this same taillight for my bike. Did you wire the regular blinkers in as well or are you getting rid of them and using the taillight only?

I personally kept both in the back. I already had Rizoma's back there, so I also installed a digital flasher and removed all my resistors when I installed mine.

the P.O had some really small sh*tty rear led blinkers installed so i just removed those for the time being ill be using just the taillight, ill see how it goes and see if i maybe want to re-add additional blinkers. otherwise i think the taillamp looks very well built and is definitly bright, i love the 3 blink flash for the brake lights, id highly recommend it

That was one of the things I liked about it - being not only bright but that it blinks and gets the attention of cars behind you

I had one of those on the bike when I bought it. I'm adding led blinkers as well. Friends commented that the integrated tail light was hard to see during daylight hours.

i think instead of relying on current flow to determine flash speed via the heating and cooling of a bi-metal strip, it has a digitally controlled timer circuit to control it, am i right?

where did you get this controller?

if your talking about the motodynamic tail lamp then yes i believe it has a resistor setup in it, its all under shrinkwrap so i cant exactly tell what it is

This is a great tail light there are some dead spots though during the day light where it would be hard to see the LEDs. But a secondary brake light on the turn signals would fix that :)

I just put mine on this past weekend; they look great. I kept my side turn signals as well, but I purchased the Y harnesses from Motodynamic and it was completely plug and play. (Crapload of wires, though :D)

Has anyone had issues with the hazards? Mine work fine for a few minutes, but anything more than that and usually one side will stop working (this never happened with the stock setup).

Not a huge problem, but I noticed this when a buddy rode off the road and I had to stop and leave the hazards going for a bit longer.

Edit: Sounds like motogrip may have answered this in a separate thread. Can anyone confirm if a new flasher might solve the issue? All the other bulbs are stock.

Yep
Just cut the black wires coming of the sub-harness (keep the yellow & blue one)
the black wires are load resistors you dont need them unless you are running LED's on the back in the future.

I also have Rizomas in the back. What do you mean by "installed a digital flasher"? I would love to get rid of that huge hunk of resistors and install this taillight while keeping my Rizomas functional.
