No, no no Mate - Americanese encompasses all those that call your shores home, whereas Americans are just that - people who identify themselves as 'of America'. (a subtle, but important difference)
It is a deliberate modification of the title....

Halloween didn't originate in here, it started in Europe, pretty sure by the Scottish called all hallo's eve

It's actually much more widely celebrated in Ireland than in England, the kids love it.
