KN, just a question for the next batch, but is there any reason you don't leave the c piece you weld on the guide open?
Just thinking it would make it easier to fit the rubber dust protector on the end of the clutch cable.
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Rick
A slot would the make installation easier. I know getting that dust boot through the hole was the hardest part of the install.I could probably do that. That would just take a little slit with an angle grinder to accomplish that after it is welded.
Is the dust boot hard to slip through the hole? Are you installing the cable through the hole with the hanger bolted to the bike or not? You can get a fair bit of slack and room to work if the hanger isn't already bolted to the bike.

KN Mod done - less than 10mins.
I'm having trouble with the install, any help would be appreciated.
Did the install and adjusted the clutch cable. When i pull in the clutch, it won't spring back to it's original position, it just hangs limp. I actually have to use my fingers to flick it back to the original position. The spring is in it's correct place 'cause when i pull on the slave lever alone it springs back to it's original position.
Any ideas?

I'm totally frustrated right now with this thing. It's almost as if the spring isn't strong enough to pull the cable and clutch lever back.![]()
