Well I have been looking at a local listed 2006 FZ6 with 8k miles on it for the past couple weeks and today I bit the bullet and went to look at it finally. I have been researching them the past couple days, and I found this forum. I have been lurking around and finally decided to post and get y'alls opinion on this bike. First of all sorry if this is in the wrong forum and thanks for the wealth of knowledge I have gained from this forum about this bikes.

This won't be my first bike I have rode, i have rode r6 quite a bit before while I was storing it. This however will be my first bike I have owned. This bike has been listed for a couple weeks and I called today expecting it to be gone, it wasn't. So after work I went to look at it with a buddy of mine, we get there and it has been owned by this same owner since 07 when he bought it new. This bike was in excellent condition, not a scratch, mark, or dent on it and has been garage kept. He was a elderly man who just didn't have anyone to ride with anymore and had picked up bike riding. So I am almost positive it hasn't been ragged out and has been taken care of like a million dollar machine. It has a brand new back tire, because the old one hit a nail he old tire got plugged and he just felt safer buying a new one. Front tire probably had 30% tread. He was asking $3800, I got him down to $3650 including 2 HJC helmets, one full face, the other some funky flip up. I put a deposit on it and I am picking it up first thing tomorrow morning.

So do y'all think i am getting a decent deal? Sorry for such the long post I am pretty excited about the bike and was just wanting to get y'alls opinion.

:welcome: :welcome:

sounds like a decent price + the extras you're getting.

I sold my '07 for $3500 recently and it had a bit rash. Can't wait to see pics of it once you get it!

Once you get on it and are riding it, the price you paid really won't matter because you won't be thinking of it as you will be having too much fun!

Congrats on the purchase!

Sounds like a good bike, decent price (prob not a steal, but a fair shake). Make sure it's got a clean title, it starts up and sounds fine, and all the fairing pieces are intact for that price.

I love the FZ6 - other than liking the r6/r1 even-sportier look, this bike looks incredibly sporty for the comfortable seating position and great gas mileage, handles great and still packs some punch! And the forum community is great.

Best of luck! ~ CoolATIGuy

I forgot all about getting pictures, I do have one that was in the ad. I will defiantly put up more pictures tomorrow when I pick up.

Here are two of the pictures the owner sent to me, I will take some better ones once I pick up the bike today.

Looks great except it's the slow red color. Blue is the fastest color by far. Welcome to the forum and a great one at that. Ride safe and enjoy the ride.
