So I was able to get my new scorpion carbon fiber slip-on's installed today! And let me just say that this company is a very high quality exhaust builder! I am so very impressed with their quality and craftsmanship, even the packaging was top notch. The instructions were very easy to follow, and the install went very uneventful. Anyways....the company that I ordered from did a great job through the process, nothing but good things to say about them as well! The pricing was great, the cheapest I found online by far!

Anyways, Ill get some pictures posted up so you can all see the beauty! I haven't ordered the fender eliminator kit as of yet, so the install isn't totally done as of right now. I plan to get that FAZR6 kit off of larry on ebay....so hopefully that will be installed in the next week or 2!

Oh yea, and I crossed 5,000 miles today on the test ride! WOO HOO!!!

Very nice, Very nice!

I just added Leo Vince carbon's and just turned over 7000 miles on my 09 that I've had for a year now.

Vid of the sound, if you can, please:thumbup:

Thanks everyone, yes they sound so wonderful! There is just something special about the sound a pipe makes when it is make of carbon fiber! The stainless and titanium sound good.....but these just plain sound great!!!

I did take a little video of them yesterday, but will have to get it from uploaded later today.

Its crazy that at idle they aren't too much louder, just have a nice toned growl. But when you get up past 4k they wake up quickly and really sound good above 8k. It feels like they give just a bump in power compared to stock....at least according to the butt-dyno!

Overall I am extremely pleased with the purchase. They look great, sound good, and are a quality built pipe. And....did I mention that they have a LIFETIME warranty? Thats pretty sweet too! Stay tuned later today for that sound clip....

Can you clarify on this a little. So compared to stock the idle isnt too much louder?? Thats actually exactly what i would want since i dont want to bother my neighbors in the morning.

I also love my SS Scorps with no DB killers... As stated above under 4K RPM, their not real loud, wind it up to 6000+ RPM, the bike friggin screams and sounds like a liter bike....

From the sound bites of other aftermarket mufflers, it seems the Scorps are a little deeper in tone, at least without the DB killers.. And the bike does feel faster, (butt dyno)

If your constantly winding the bike up, I strongly suggest the DB killers as they DO attract attention...
I ordered the DB killers from Scorpion direct in England, with the DB killers, their ALOT QUIETER, needless to say, someone got a good deal on them...

So I can't lie, I didn't even run the bike one time with the DB killers installed, but they did come installed from the factory. I didn't have to pay extra or order them special, they came with the set.

Anyways.....to answer the question at hand.....

I think the bike is truly noticeably louder at idle, but not a lot. When it starts up and idles around 2k there is a nice humm.....then it quiets down a lot when the idle kicks down to around 1k. I leave for work at 6AM, and I have a 3 year old toddler and wife that would not be happy if woken up. And I think these should be pretty safe for early mornings. And even quieter with the DB killers installed if you were really wanting to quiet them down more.

I should also note that when I go to leave for work I don't start my bike until I roll it to the end of my driveway into the street next to the curb. I face it down the street (not at any houses) and only let it warm up long enough to put on helmet and gloves (approx 30 seconds)

So far, I have had no complaints of being too loud! :)

OK here is the link to the video. I will apologize in advance for the lousy quality and jerky motion. It was a quick recording from my iPhone.

But ya gotta admit.....sounds goooooooood!

Ordered from jazz motorsports. I called and spoke with Brian in their parts dept. he gave me the best price I was able to find.

On another note...these might be up for sale here soon as I'm selling the bike and a buyer is interested in the bike in stock form, therefore the pipes may come off and be up for sale!

Well if so let me know - I'd probably be interested depending on condition and price. I really like the look, especially on the red bikes
