Speedo changed from MPH to KMPH

I have recently replaced the battery on my bike and having installed the new one my speedo has changed from displaying in MPH and is now displaying KMPH.

Does anyone know how i go about switching this back?

Ignition on. Press and hold the Select button for several seconds.

The service manual states to push the SELECT button for 2 seconds to change between KMPH and MPH.
