I can never figure out why all those rnickeymouse vids have bikes breaking the rear loose at that same spot! You can spend hours (cough pan cough ) watching low sides in that very spot. The others you see on the vid are obvious rider errors and my fav is the scooter guy shod with the gel slippers! :BLAA:

I ride that road almost every weekend. There is a slight camber on that curve and the radius decreases midway into the turn a bit too. But I think what happens is after you are through the corner there is an uphill straight and I think guys get on the gas too quick to power up the incline.

There is a mid-turn camber change at that spot. It is also a double apex corner. People who are not familiar with this road are usually at a full lean when they get to this spot, then the camber goes negative just a little bit and you lose all clearance..I dragged pegs and toe sliders here couple times. Dont know why people insist on pushing it at this particular spot, maybe making a statement or something? But check out the group called mulholland riders on that channel...those guys on the crossplane R1's know this corner really well.

how come they all lose it there, bad road surface, grabbing a fistful of front?

Listen to the sequence of sounds on the second bike. It seems to be peg then loss of the rear wheel traction. It 's probably a combination of things like tire temp, tire compound, non moveable peg. harder than needed for condition exit throttleetc. etc. The peg can be a result of body position in the bike. I've never ridden that road yet. Could there be a negative pitch change on the surface? There for sure is a set of circumstances that are prevalent in that spot.

If you look at the first vid post by the OP the ZX10 doesn't grab front brake. You see it in the vid. The bike would stand up in the turn if he was grabbing brake.
