MPG, only getting 40 consistantly....

Add a Versys to your garage, my last tank i got 70 mpg, despite waht kawi's website says :D

Tire pressures FTW...or loss

If it sounds like a miracle, then it is a scam.

If these little things worked everyone would use them including automotive manufacturers.

There is a deceptive practice lawsuit against them:

I would just be careful adding these gadgets to your cars/bikes, you never know what they are going to do. Most of the time, absolutely nothing but make your wallet lighter but the potential for damage is always there.

In the general forum I just posted;

Used bike w/41xx miles I was getting 42mpg.
Bike has 62xx miles on it now its and getting 48.5mpg using Chevron 89 octane.

I can say that city miles of stop and go hurt it. Try a 350 mile road trip and see what two tanks gets you.

I am a proffesional mechanic and I have never seen any "fuel saving" product improve fuel mpg of a properly maintained engine.... Its just marketing strategy,the ONLY way to save fuel is to be very light on the throttle. :thumbup:
 
5-10 MPG variance is normal on a car based on engine temp, outside temps, how you drive, where you drive, tire pressure, cleanliness of the air filter/exhaust systems, humidity, even on the different additives in the gasoline.

Going from 19-21mpg in a car is nothing to get excited about.

I can see a permanant stabilzer. But I'm in the Navy, and have never seen anyone use them or talk about using them. Probably because 95% of our vechiles run on jet fuel, desiel, or propane.

As for this:
If it were true and it improved MPG, it would be a big deal. Its not and it doesn't.

Offical scientific testing of the usefulness of the Filch system. In case you can't be bothered to read the link. It failed. Miserably. Although Filch was the only willing participant in the study.

Lets see when I ride the bike to and from work I am mostly lane splitting with a lot of stop and go which kills your fuel economy so those tanks can be as low as 37 mpg and as high as 40 mpg when I do trips for example los Angeles to MOTO GP in laguna seca my lowest mpg was 45mpg and my highest was 49 mpg.
