This brand new Fazer.

I've not seen one like this before, S2 spec with silver frame/swingarm/forks/wheels, black motor, copper and black colours.....

hmmm. i'm not too sure what i think about that. it almost hurts my eyes looking at all the "different" parts "thrown" together. what year is it? are there other examples around the world of mixing frame/engine colors?

That's odd... you sure it was a new FZ and not a used one that was pieced together using various year's parts? Looks like an '04 frame with an '06 motor, 04-06 fairing with custom paint, 04-05 wheels, custom seat, and what looks to be the old digital tach from 04-06.

It is brand new, has the '07 onwards instruments.

I have an '04 and the fairing is completely different, you can't see the radiator cap for a start.

it's a newer model. check out the swing arm, subframe (passenger pegs), and calipers. and that's the newer smaller fairing. and i believe that's the seat that the rest of the world saw starting with the '07's. i have no doubt it's an '07 (or later) bike. i'm just wondering if yamaha did that sorta mix and match in other places around the world and what year it would be.

i could see maybe a black frame and silver engine... but this setup is just odd to me.

Yep, they're about the only Fazers I see in Perth, this colour.

That's one of the 09' colours. They had a blue one too that year with again that grey frame. And the classic midnight black.

Never been a fan of the silver wheels/frame/swingarm, but it looks really good with that light blue.

Autumn Orange or Midnight Black wer the only colours available in Aus for 2009/2010

It's interesting that they offer different paint schemes in various countries. What's with the seat? Looks like a nicer piece than the America's get.

I'm always surprised at the wide variations in color schemes you see in different markets for the same model years. You would think that they would try to standardize frame colors and tank colors from a cost standpoint and spares needed for future repairs.

Mmmmmmm .... that orange i might accept, but the silver wheels black engine etc.. i don't know, just looks wrong IMHO.

As an aside, i went out to Magalies the other day, and i saw about 4 fazers plus mine on the road. As time goes on, more and more of them to be seen around, they're not being totalled like the R6's.

Still the best buy in the segment i think.

I like the two tone pods and fairing. . . It raises the bar over the single color options.

Not that I have or will ride 2 up, but the rear seat looks to have less slope than than the standard profile. . . I like the two tone on that also!

Black wheels, frame, swinger, and triple clamp = sold! I'd take it!
